Some public transport routes to change during Nordea Riga Marathon

"Rīgas satiksme" informs that on Sunday, May 19, from 8.00 till 14.30, during the Nordea Riga Marathon, some public transport routes will be changed or closed.

Trolleybuses:

Trolleybus route No. 1 will be closed.

On route No. 3, trolleybuses will run from Sarkandaugava by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, Brīvības Street, Brīvības Boulevard, Raiņa Boulevard and further by the route to the Central Market; from the Central Market, the trolleybuses will run by the route to Brīvības Boulevard, then in Brīvības Boulevard, Brīvības Street, Bruņinieku Street, K.Valdemāra Street and further by the route.

Trolleybus route No. 5 will be closed.

On route No. 9, trolleybuses will run from the Central Railway Terminal by the route to Uzvaras Boulevard, then in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street and further by the route to Iļģuciems. A part of the route between the 11th November Embankment and the Railway Terminal Square will be changed, and the trolleybuses will run on diesel generators in Slokas Street to stop “Baložu Street”.            There will be no changes between Baložu Street and ther Railway Terminal Square.

On route No. 12, trolleybuses will run from Šmerlis in Brīvības Street, Brīvības Boulevard, Raiņa Boulevard, 13th January Street, on 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street and further by the route. On the way back the trolleybuses will run by the route to Kalnciema Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Boulevard and further by the route.

On route No. 19, trolleybuses will run from the University of Latvia to c/c  Ziepniekkalns (terminal of bus route No. 40) and back.

On route No. 24, trolleybuses will run from JSC Dzintars to the University of Latvia and back.

Trolleybus route No. 25 will be closed.

Buses:

On route No. 2 buses will run to the city centre by the route to Duntes Street, then in Duntes Street, Kr.Valdemāra Street, Stabu Street, Brīvības Street, Brīvības Boulevard, Raiņa Boulevard and further by the route.

From the city centre, the buses will run by the route to Brīvības Boulevard, then in Brīvības Boulevard, Brīvības Street, Bruņinieku Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Duntes Street and further by the route.

On routes No. 11. and 24, buses will run to the city centre by the route to Kr.Valdemāra Street, then in Stabu Street, Brīvības Street, Brīvības Boulevard, Raiņa Boulevard and further by the route. From the city centre, the buses will run by the route to Brīvības Boulevard, then in Brīvības Boulevard, Brīvības Street, Bruņinieku Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and further by the route.

On route No. 12, from 8.00 till 12.00, buses will run from the city centre by the route to Gogoļa Street,then in Gogoļa Street, Lāčplēša Street, across Salu Bridge, turn in Mūkusalas rotation circle, then take Bauskas Street and go further by the route.

On route No. 13, buses will run to railway station „Preču-2” by the route to Daugavgrīvas Street, then in Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, Marijas Street and further by the route. On the way to railway station Babīte, the buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, 13th January Street, on 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Raņķa dambis, Daugavgrīvas Street and further by the route.

On routes No. 15 and 31, buses will run from Jugla-3 by the route to Slāvu Street, then in Slāvu Street, Krasta Street to the place of turning around to Ķengarags, then in Krasta Street, Maskavas Street and further by the route.

On route No. 20, buses will run from Pļavnieki by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then in Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Stabu Street and back.

On route No. 30, buses will run from Bolderāja by the route to Slokas Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on the 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, Marijas Street to public transport stop “Freedom Monument” (terminal of bus route No. 8 and trolleybus routes No. 9 and 27).

On the way back to Bolderāja, buses will run in the13th January Street, on the 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.   

On routes No. 37, 41 and 53, buses will run from Imanta and Zolitūde by the route to Slokas Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on the 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Boulevard to bus stop “Freedom Monument”.

On the way to Imanta and Zolitūde, the buses will run in Raiņa Boulevard, 13th January Street, on the 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.

Trams:

On route No. 5, trams will run from Iļģuciems by the route to the Central market and back. The part of the route between the Central market and Mīlgravis will be closed.

On route No. 6, trams will run from Riga secondary school No. 45 to Railway Terminal Square (Radio Street). A part of the route between the centre and Ausekļa Street will be closed.

On route No. 7, trams will run from TC „Dole” to the Central market. The part of the route from the Central market to Ausekļa Street will be closed.

Minibuses (buses with higher comfort level):

On routes No. 236, 237 and 241, minibuses will run from Pārdaugava by the routes to Slokas Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, in Railway Terminal Square, Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Street, along Baumanis public garden to Tērbatas Street (terminal). 

To Pārdaugava, the minibuses will run from Brīvības Boulevard in Raiņa Boulevard, 13th January Street, on 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.

On routes No. 200 and 224, minibuses will run from the city centre by the route to    Brīvības Boulevard, then in Brīvības Boulevard, Brīvības Street, Bruņinieku Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Duntes Street, Tilta Street and further by the route. On the way back to the city centre, the minibuses will run by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, Brīvības Street, Brīvības Boulevard, Raiņa Boulevard and further by the route.

On route No. 267, minibuses will run by the route to Baznīcas Street, then in Baznīcas Street, Bruņinieku Street, K.Valdemāra Street and further by the route.

On the way back to the city centre, the minibuses will run by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, Skolas Street, Lāčplēša Street and further by the route.

On route No. 276, minibuses will run from the Central Railway Terminal in   Gogoļa Street, Sadovņikova Street, Kalna Street, Lomonosova Street, Lubānas Street, Rušānu Street and further by the route.

From Dārziņi, the minibuses will run by the route to the Central Railway Terminal. A part of the route between Kīpsala and the city centre will be closed.

During the above period, passengers who have bought and are using one-month tickets for the closed public transport routes will be allowed to use these tickets on other bus, trolleybus and tram routes to reach the necessary destinations, without registering their trips.
